WHAT:

"Gossip," is a provocative collective art exhibition challenging the boundaries of authenticity, vulnerability, and creative expression. "Gossip" is more than just an art show. It’s a community gathering that offers sanctuary to local creatives through engaging programming: Draw-a-licious live nude model figure drawing sessions with Scarlett Baily, Sunday DJ Sound Sessions, a sound bath led by musician Jeronimo Hill, and more. Please check back frequently to our site as we will be adding community events as the opening approaches.

WHEN:

Open Thursday to Sunday, April 4th to 26th from 12-6pm, with a vibrant opening night on Saturday, April 4th from 5-9 pm, "Gossip" invites the public to an experience that promises to be as raw as it is revelatory. If you would like to schedule a guided visit outside of our standard hours, we would love to have you, please complete the Tour Request form on our homepage or email scarlett@scarlettbaily.com

WHERE:

Union Hall Gallery 2323 Broadway #201 (between 23rd and 24th street, San Diego, CA 92102 in the beautiful neighborhood of Golden Hill. Please ring the buzzer on the 1st floor Broadway entrance.

WHY:

This show reframes gossip as a space to share truths without fear or filter. It’s a celebration of candid feelings, stripping away the mask of performative contentment to embrace the messiness and intensity of lived experience. From mourning and rage to sadness and joy, "Gossip" is a sanctuary for the honest exploration of emotion, challenging the viewer to witness what it is like to come undone.

“One reason women have traditionally gossiped more than men is because gossip has been a social interaction wherein women have felt comfortable stating what they really think and feel.”
